The SP-XD-216 Air-cooled Xenon-lamp Weathering Test Chamber accelerates the evaluation of material aging resistance by simulating natural environments such as sunlight, rainfall, and condensation, widely used in automotive, coatings, plastics, aerospace and other industries. Equipped with an air-cooled xenon lamp system and a programmable touch screen controller, it supports multi-mode cyclic tests including light exposure, temperature/humidity control, and rainfall simulation. It precisely controls irradiance (0.35-0.7W/m² at 340nm), temperature (RT+10℃~70℃) and humidity (30%-98%RH), complying with standards like GB/T16422.2 and ISO 4892-2. Featuring multi-layer safety protections (over-temperature, water shortage, leakage, etc.), it operates stably and reliably, serving as an ideal solution for material formulation screening and durability verification.

Basic principle:
Weathering test is an important method to screen formulas and optimize product composition during scientific research and production, as well as one important quality inspection item, and the standards of some application materials, such as coating, plastic, aluminum-plastic plate, automobile safety glass, all state the necessity of weathering test. Sunshine and moisture are the main causes of aging of materials, the weathering test chamber can imitate damage caused by sunshine, rain and dew, to be specific, imitating sunshine through xenon lamp and rain and dew through moisture and condensate water. The test specimen shall be put in an environment with alternating and circulating sunshine and damp, so that the damage that may appear outside within several months or years can appear inside within several days or weeks, the data of accelerated aging test is helpful for us to select new material, improve the current material and evaluate how the change of formula impact the durability of the products.
Main characteristics:
Air-cooled device: The test chamber temperature ventilation cooling system shall be controlled by temperature controller automatically.
Raining system: Consisting of water pump, time relay, spray nozzle and so on with adjustable spray period.
It is allowed to measure radiation intensity of xenon lamp and adjust it.
Xenon lamp shall be cooled through air cooling method, reducing the operation and maintenance cost of the equipment.
Timing device: In order to record working time of every test, the equipment is equipped with a timer on its operation panel, which can control equipment’s working time so that the equipment shall shut off automatically upon reaching the set time point.
Protection device (stop protection facility of the entire equipment): In order to maintain normal operation of xenon lamp without damage, besides that the xenon lamp shall light on only when both the cooling system and the circuit start (which means the xenon lamp shall not work if the cooling fan is shut off), the xenon lamp shall go out when cooling fan is shut off due to fault during operation.
